  • President
    • Help lead board meetings, set an example for the chapter, keep in contact with the regional president, work on recruitment
  • Israel Affairs VP
    • Plan and organize all Israel related content for chapter events, inform the board on things going on in Israel
  • Religious/Education VP
    • Help facilitate religious programming, such as Shabbat Dinners, services, etc.
  • Social Action/Tikkun Olam VP
    • Create/facilitate  social actions projects, keep track of chapter TO money raised
  • Membership/Kadima VP
    • Have a presence in our Kadima chapter, be in contact with the regional Mem/Kadima VP, promote events to Kadimanicks, callouts to Kadima families, work on recruitment
  • Communications VP
    • Take minutes (notes) of all chapter board meetings, notify the all chapter members about upcoming events, promote the chapter, create facebook events for the chapter, run the chapter twitter account
  • Grade Representative
    • Represent your grade at Board Meetings and inform your grade of upcoming events.


  • USYers entering Grades 9 – 12 in the 2017/2018 academic year.
  • USY members in good standing (i.e. have paid their membership dues).


  • Attend at least 1 board meeting/month.
  • Attend 90% of USY events.
  • Attend at least 1 regional/international event.

Election Rules:

  •  Each candidate will be expected to give an election speech, no longer than 3 minutes.
  • The candidate that receives the most votes will be considered the winner.
  • If there are any disputes concerning the election, Rabbi Bluman has final say.
