Hametz 2011

Please consider making a donation to the Jewish Family Service Agency for their Maot Chittim campaign so that we can ensure the entire Jewish community of the Lower Mainland will have food to eat this coming Passover.

If possible, all hametz – food not acceptable during Passover, and materials containing such unacceptable food – should be destroyed or given away before the holiday begins. Should this be impossible or cause financial strain, the hametz may be stored in such a way that you are sure not to use it during the holiday and its actual ownership is transferred to a non-Jew until the holiday ends. In order to fulfill the Jewish precept of not owning any hametz during Passover, please fill out the following document and mail or bring it to Rabbi Infeld at the BI office no later than April 15, 2011.

Please download and complete the form from Attachments below and return to Beth Israel no later than April 15, 2011.
