In the event of a death:
- Please contact Rev. Joseph Marciano, Funeral Director of the Chevra Kadisha at 604-603-7164. The Chevra Kadisha works with the family and covers all details related to the ritual cleaning of the body and its transportation.
- If you are a member of Beth Israel, contact the office at 604-731-4161 during business hours. If you are calling after hours please listen to the message. You will be told how to contact the Rabbi.
The Beth Israel Guide to Mourning – Beth Israel’s new guide to mourning book was created and written by Jean Gerber and Jonathan Berkowitz. A hard copy of the guide is available for those in need. If you would like to get a copy of this important guide please contact Susanne at susanne@bethisrael.ca
